Come and party with London’s Latin community and their friends, Join us to dance, listen or learn about Latin American rhythms and their roots. This ocassion bringing traditional music from the amazons by Los Bravos de la K’umbia and their psychedelic cumbia from the jungle.

We welcome Los Bravos de la K’umbia this time as a full-power tropical– psychedelic small combo style bringing the classic sounds of Cumbia and Chicha from Peru and latin america. The band brings to life the hybrid sound popular in the 1960s and 1970s that blends Amazonic and cumbia rhythms with psychedelic effects — is experiencing a global reawakening with fierce Latin energy with the amplified strum of surf guitars ripping across a percussive bed of conga slaps, powerful cowbell and timbal sounds, bold bass, psychedelic amazonic melodies and the gurgling rasp of a guiro. A musical trip to the origins of Chicha born in nature of ayahuasca in the amazonic jungle brought to you by this trust-worthy musical shamans.

Synopsis
Peruvian Chicha music, fuses the tropical sounds of cumbia with the traditional Andean sounds. Additional influences from international genres such as surf and psychedelic rock, salsa, and even techno give Chicha a distinct sound. Although Chicha is to be considered as one genre, it is also possible to recognize different styles, which somehow are related to the regional origins of migrants.
