Outerglobe Vinyl Salon hosted by Debbie Golt with Cyndi Handson Ellesse 

Outerglobe MD Debbie Golt’s popular show The Outerglobe on Resonance 104.4fm (www.resonancefm.com and DAB London) is known for incisive and entertaining interviews with movers and shakers in African music and wider arts, and great African inspired music. The Outerglobe Vinyl Salon recreates that vibe as Debbie and her distinguished guests select choice vinyl and let the music direct the chat flow. You the audience are invited to join in the conversation.

The Vinyl Salon guest this time is Cyndi Handson Ellesse, aka Handson Family (with her partner Christian), one of London’s finest rare groove DJs and event hosts. Cyndi has a phenomenal record collection, a fine ear for selection and a wise world view. Cyndi lives further into South London however she grew up in Wandsworth.



Outerglobe Female DJ Relay in association with Tigersonic Studio Smart Musicians

Featuring a mix of first time and experienced women DJs each sharing multiples of 15 minutes of music from around the globe away from the mainstream, and some fabulous live women’s music too.

A fun evening for the crowd – there are always gems as DJs share their best tracks with a surprising continuity. Music for the mind AND the feet, titles you just have to note! Lovely live sets pepper the night.

Tigersonic Studio Smart Musicians with Felix Xfile Macintosh – a dubby bass, a laptop and fabulous women’s voices.

Eileen Quashie: “Eileen Quashie’s unique style is defined by her cultural roots, spirituality and commitment to bridge the divide between Africa and the West, and gap between popular music and deeper musical traditions. An eclectic mélange of World Beat, Ghanian and Canadian influences, a style she calls Roots Revival.

Her inspirations include Sade, Des’ree, Erykah Badu, Sarah McLachlan, and Billie Holliday, along with Ghanaian highlife singers, Kojo Antwi, and Alhaji K. Frimpong.”

A chance for women who’ve always wanted to DJ to have a go, or simply select tracks with Outerglobe’s Debbie Golt’s help. Pressure-free play for more experienced DJs.
