Regime + Mount Nakara + DJ Pony
April 23, 2016 @ 9:00 pm - April 24, 2016 @ 2:00 am
They may be considered Bristol’s newcomers, but having shared stages with the likes of: The Skints, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Scroobius Pip and Akala, Regime have quickly earned their stripes alongside some of the U.K’s finest acts.
Tackling issues such as drug abuse, arms dealing and government oppression, Regime speak directly to the hearts and minds of free thinking people. Social and political commentaries are blended seamlessly with hip hop, reggae and rock to make audiences jump, laugh and think.
Being raised on the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Dead Prez and The Roots has helped create this unique and ever conscious band.
Modernising traditional dub influences, Mount Nakara bring soundsystem culture to the stage with an upbeat, bass heavy live performance. The result is a fresh take on UK roots music.
Over the last 3 years they’ve toured as ‘Komodo’, headlining a number of local festivals and sharing the stage with the likes of Dizraeli, Dub Pistols, The Resonators and Yes Sir Boss.
DJ Pony is a co-founder of the legendary Small World Solar Stage, a travelling bubble of beauty that graces festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, and Sunrise, has two of its very own amazingly lovely festivals yearly, and hosts memorable indoor gatherings during the winter months in London.
Pony is renowned for his classic old skool funk and soul flavoured DJ sets, which dip into many other genres and have been delighting dancers and audiences for more than two decades.
