Midweek Folk & Jazz with Nouvelle Manouche

Nouvelle Manouche, AKA guitarists George Risk and Giorgos Alevizakis, play a collection of acoustic folk styles from around the world including Gypsy Swing, Bossa Nova, Flamenco, Tango, Latin and Rebetiko. With a wide variety of songs – both old & new, jazz standards, traditional folk, film music & a smattering of originals their performance is always exciting & dynamic!
George Risk is an accomplished musician who has been performing since he was 13 in a variety bands in genres ranging from swing to Afrobeat. Whilst specialising in gypsy jazz, George maintains a wide variety of musical interests including mainstream, bebop, latin jazz, and world music.
Giorgos Alevizakis, started playing the Bouzouki at the age of 12 and was soon immersed within tradional Creatan music where he grew up. Soon after moving to guitar Giorgos moved to london to expand his love for music. While drawing influnce from Flamenco, Rebetiko and Folk Giorgos is now playing in Gypsy Butter, a world music band.

The venue is open from 10:30am, serving food from 12-3pm and 6-10pm
