The Langan Band + John Fairhurst & Joe Strouzer + DJ Jake Pike
November 21, 2015 @ 9:00 pm - November 22, 2015 @ 2:00 am

Percussion provided by the front man John Langan, whilst singing and driving the rythm guitar, he somehow co-ordinates the operating of a cajon and a tambourine with his feet bringing the driving, swinging groove of the rhythm guitar together with his foot percussion resulting in an impressively tight band sound with a tempo that is free to go anywhere. Add scorching hot fiddle lines and a guy thumping the groove out a double bass. If you’re not dancing like a professional ostrich you get a refund!
Wigan native Fairhurst has been honing his craft on the road combining his passions for people and music for years. The result is an awe inspiring wall of sound rooted in his northern blues background with gritty mournful deep-south attitude and a voice to carry it home.
“John Fairhurst is a phenomenon known as ‘Clapton’s Son’ or the Wigan Jimi Hendrix…Audiences are blown away by his ability to channel rock and roll greats into a modern and really jumping sound”
Chris Tofu – Island Records/ Continental Drifts
