‘This London/Cambridge collective lays a varnish of gypsy-folk over a Doors-y halluci-rock.’ Getting Near Dawn
‘The fusion of various genres, and particularly the gypsy flamboyance in the viola, means you never know what’s going to come next.’ — Slate the Disco
Echo Trails create a sound which cleverly fuses together each of the member’s individual and eclectic influences; combining the familiar melodic elements of folk, gypsy, blues and jazz, along with the stranger worlds of psychedelia, Prog-Rock, Avant-garde, and free improvisation, creating an intriguing and eccentric off-kilter sound. The improvisatory nature of live shows ensures you never quite know what you are going to hear next.
Alice Phelps has been gracing the stages of London for the past year with her set up of harp and powerfully husky vocals, augmented by her big band of double bass, percussion, cello, violin and three piece backing vocals. Influenced by folk from near and far, Celtic to Eastern, she experiments with delay, blues motifs, and intricate melodies and rhythms to create a melting pot of contemporary and traditional styles, treversing the territories between psychedelic folk and cosmic jazz. They’re a truly unique band, not to be missed.
“Alice Phelps truly is is a stand out performer and one of the finest musicians in the capital. She integrates the harp into contemporary soulful compositions with her accomplished backing band, who add the icing to the cake. Prepare to go on a fantastic journey through folk blended with non traditional blues infused melodies. A trip well worth taking” — Charlie Wrights
Music starts from 9pm. Happy hour from 5-7pm!
We’re open from 10:30am, serving food from 12-3pm and 6-10pm
